6 Reasons Why I love Blogging

1:08 PM

Happy Birthday to me! Oh no, not me but to Cre8PositiveLife.
Yes! It's celebration time. My blog turns One today.
January 19th, 2014 was the day Cre8PositiveLife was created.

After months of research and understanding the concepts of blogging...I couldn't wait any longer. I began writing. Now I can't get enough of it.

2013 was preparations.
2014 was practice.
2015 is GAME ON.

A year down the line and 35 posts up to date, I have tons to learn and that makes me happy.

Here's a few reasons why I love blogging.

1. Makes me feel confident as a writer.
I still remember the moment I was about to hit publish on my first post. I was apprehensive. I felt uncomfortable. There was that little voice at the back of my mind telling me "What on earth are you doing Hema? Do you really think you can compete with all the top bloggers out there? Are you prepared enough? Why don't you stick to what you know?"

Yet another voice that encouraged me "Hema, well done. Whatever happens at least you have given it a try. You should be proud of yourself for stepping out of your comfort zone."

Today, January 19th 2015, do I feel confident? Yes I do.
I am thrilled to have suppressed those negative voices and kept writing for the love of it and not for the sake of it. Those feelings of fear and hesitation harass me no more, because I am now a confident writer looking to improve on every single day.

2. Keeps my mind busy
We all have things that disturbs the mental peace of our minds. Don't we? Yes! I have it too.
Believe it or not, at times I can get really worked up with the simplest of things. But thanks to blogging, my mind is preoccupied with thoughts about my future posts and related projects. Hence it keeps me busy and happy. Once again I win over the little negative voices in my head! Hurray:)

3. Opens doors to opportunities
There's a quote that goes:-
"If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door" Milton Berle
Well, in my case opportunity doesn't knock too often. Therefore I occasionally have to build doors. One of those doors is blogging. It has enabled me to network with wonderful people from the blogging community and people from all over the world and from different backgrounds. Many have shown immense appreciation through their comments. Others have offered great support and timely advice.
I recently received a priceless opportunity from someone who has been following my blog for a while. I'd like to keep further details on this to myself until the job's accomplished. But here's my point... Don't get disheartened when things don't work out the way you wanted. Keep doing your best and somebody will be bound to notice you and your work.

4. Enables me to make a difference.
Here's Bella. My Chief Editor : )
I believe success is not defined by how much money one has or how big one's house is. To me success means being able to make a difference in somebody else's life. I love writing posts people can relate to. It's even more heartwarming when people acknowledge they feel motivated through my posts. The fact that I can help others is reason enough for me to keep writing.

5. Gives me some 'ME' time
Who doesn't enjoy some lone time? I do. 'Me' time allows me to unwind and rejuvenate. It allows me to focus on myself. People often associate 'Me' time with being selfish. It has nothing to do with selfishness. Infact, that's what you need to make a comeback with renewed energy. Although most of my free time is spent with my husband, but when he is not around or fast asleep, blogging becomes my companion. I usually pour myself a cup of tea or find something to nibble on, sit at my desk or on my bed and do what I have grown to love this past year....blogging of course! :)

6. New things to try
I often get people who haven't heard much about blogging tell me, "Writing is all you do. That should be easy". Haha...Yes! I laugh it off because you cannot get someone to understand what blogging is all about, until they've tried it for themselves. Nevertheless I can tell you that bogging is demanding and time consuming but it's rewarding. I honestly love spending time researching, tracking, creating and communicating with like-minded people. I even cut down on watching TV to try new things because there are tons of blogging related information out there that I am still unaware of. I will get there. Slow and steady! I am currently learning some interesting tips and tricks to improve my blogsite. It's exciting!

I better stop here or this list will be a never ending one ;)
In a nutshell, blogging has provided me with a number of benefits that have added value to my life.
It's one of the many best things that happened to me. I am hoping to work harder on content that matters, reach out to more people and achieve the goals I set myself this coming year. So keep an eye out for this year's posts and projects on Cre8PositiveLife: )

As I said earlier, 2015 is GAME ON!
